Copter Parts – Assembly – Landing Gear

There are STL files for three different landing gear – each with lengths and angles. There is also an STL file for “feet” that can be printed in TPU and become “flexible feet.” This can cushion landings on hard surfaces. The “feet” are optional. Other material such as foam can be placed on the gear to cushion a landing.

It is also possible to print the entire landing gear out of TPU. This works better with stiffer TPU and shorter legs.

The Landing Gear are mounted to the Fuselage Body with nylon M3 screws. These screws pass through the Battery Tray and also secure it.

Here are the three sizes of Landing Gear printed in ABS and the Flexible Feet printed in TPU.

The Flexible Feet press on to the ends of the Landing Gear tubes. They can be glued in place if necessary.

Here are the Landing Gear Feet.

The Landing Gear are mounted with nylon M3 screws that pass through the Battery Tray and screw into threads in the Fuselage Body.

Be sure that the M3 nylon screws are long enough to extend all the way through into the fuselage. 20mm screws are usually sufficient.
