Two versions of the Fuselage Lid are available. One Fuselage Lid has a smaller hole in the center and a corresponding dome to be attached to that hole. The other Fuselage Lid has much larger hole and corresponding dome.

Both domes can be used to provide visibility to electronics mounted inside the fuselage. Using translucent PETG, it may be possible to see when LED’s are illuminated.

The domes can also be SLA printed with clear resin. This provides excellent visibility to the interior. I’ve had these clear resin domes printed by PCBWay for about $10 plus shipping.

The small dome can be convenient for mounting a small GPS unit. Using mounting tape, a GPS unit can easily be attached to the inside of a dome.

Suggested Print Orientation

Printing with the broad smooth surface will minimize the need for supports – which will result in fewer blemishes from removing the supports.

Suggested Infill

Both the Fuselage Lid and Dome are non-structural parts – so they can be printed with minimal infill. FDM printing the Dome with translucent PETG may benefit from specialized infill setting.
